Sooooo….I met Curtis Stone!!!! On Sat, Aug 27th, he came to the NY State Fair. He was scheduled to do a cooking show that afternoon, and, being the HUGE fan of his that I am (I’ve seen him on pretty much everything he’s done on TV since Take Home Chef) I knew I was definitely going. Whether I’d meet him in person or not, I didn’t know - I only hoped.
But…bonus! The day before the aforementioned day, the state fair added additional information about his visit to their website, and said he’d have a book signing that morning. Good thing I checked the night before. Win!
So, I bought the book at the fair, got in line, and…omg, Curtis! I got to meet him, get my picture with him, (put my arm around him :)), talk with him, get his book signed by him, and basically just be memorized by him. (He’s even more gorgeous in person (I know, hard to believe), and he smells nice too. : )) I was completely star struck, I’ll admit. But hey, I tried to play it cool. And I (mostly) did.
Anyway, the whole event was very well managed. And his cooking show was very entertaining as well. And, between these events, I saw him checking out the fair for himself in one of the buildings I happened to be in. So, I saw him buy those roasted, cinnamon-coated nuts, as well as a few bottles of pure NY maple syrup (after sampling the delicious maple butter/paste or whatever stuff that they had free samples of.) No…I wasn’t stalking. I just happened to be in that building, so…it was really more like he was stalking me. I just watched him stalk me.
